In the end, you will always have to return to the body where the essential work of transformation takes place.
Transformation is through the body and not away from it.
~Eckhardt Tolle
Mission:
This space is designed and dedicated to creating a new way of accessing health care. We believe that the current corporate medical system is a broken system that focuses on disease management; a system which also creates disparity for marginalized individuals. The system inherently and actively erodes the relationship between the patient and their own wisdom, the patient and clinician, and limits the capacity by which we as clinicians, can respond to individual and communal needs. Water and Grace is bridging the gaps created by the current healthcare model, by engaging with some insurance plans and also developing strategies to support those who want this type of support for their own health goals by exchanging outside of this insurance based model. This will enable us to honor the need to still participate in that system while inviting an opening to explore other ways of caring for self and family. We also feel strongly that encouraging your own personal healthcare knowledge and agency is a powerful way to promote resilience for individuals, families, and the communities in which they live.

On Oshun, the Orisha (diety) of the Water/ Yoruba People of Nigeria.
An invitation to memory, to flow, to the eternity of the song that we are being invited (enlisted) in this moment to sing together. This is not a time for being busy. This is not a time for solutions or rushing through with our linearity and our confident maps. This is an invitation to stay with flow; to listen to the goddess who sits at the banks of rivers and invites us to steady ourselves in the tide and flow of things. And not to be so sure in how things should be that we forget that creation, reality is a moving, not a settlement, but a moving. ~ Bayo Akomolafe

We acknowledge that we are on Abenaki Land and acknowledge that the Land is the traditional homeland of the Abenaki people, and they are its' traditional caretakers and that the Abenaki have not legally given up the Land. This acknowledgement is given to invite awareness, a small step towards initiating reparations for the healing of the collective trauma of the people and the Land. Also, to acknowledge the sovereignty and self-determination of the Abenaki people. The Abenaki people have lived in Vermont for thousands of years. Today, there are several Abenaki tribes in Vermont, including the Elnu Abenaki Tribe, the Nulhegan Band of the Coosuk Abenaki Nation, the Koasek Abenaki Tribe, and the Mississquoi Abenaki Tribe.
